Job Description: The Trade and Supply Chain Solutions Department (CFGPD) is seeking a Senior Investment Officer to help lead and execute key transactions, widen and deepen product programs, expand external and internal business relationships and coordinate CFGPD activities across FIG, IFC and the WBG. Duties and Accountabilities: The Senior Investment Officer is expected to: As Product or Transaction Lead, lead and structure key transactions vis a number of products and help deliver CFGPD investment program; Assume responsibilities for execution of transactions from origination, term sheet negotiations to documentation; Take the responsibility for business development and growing assigned CFGPD product portfolios/program; Together with Financial Markets, Trade Finance Officers, and Regional staff, identify bankable projects targeting Sub-Saharan Africa and other target regions/IDA countries; Lead teams that involve CFGPD staff, CFGPD operations, FIG, Regions and MAS; Develop facilities/partnerships that involve regional/local solutions and entities; Promote CFGPD products across regions and institutionalize this product in the Corporation; Help maintain the relevant CFGPD operations as according to procedures and guidelines in line with corporate policies; Monitor the portfolio and report development results internally and externally; Take the lead in knowledge sharing in the field of trade and commodity finance across the Corporation to promote the commodity finance products as well as maintain relevant product standards; Mentor and develop junior staff.
Requirements: Masters degree required; More than 10 years of working experience in finance, structured finance, including trade and commodity finance; More than 7 years of working experience in Development Financial Institutions (DFIs); Strong analytical skills, experience in financial modeling and ability to assess main aspects of a financial institution’s operations, including strategy, product/services design, credit risk management, credit underwriting; Sound knowledge of IFC policies and guidelines; Well-developed management skills including the ability to institutionalize and implement new products; Strong commitment to execute the work plan ensuring to meet the clients demand; and Demonstrated leadership, teamwork and integrity.
