In Spirit Worlds, Julien Sinzogan's premiere UK solo exhibition, Sinzogan explores the journeys between the tangible world and the spirit world.

The artist's acclaimed colourful work depicts a world forever shaped by another voyage: the middle passage of the Atlantic slave trade.

Sinzogan has exhibited throughout Europe and Africa in both group and solo shows, including 'Voyages' at the October Gallery, London (2007) and created a specially-commissioned piece for the 'Uncomfortable Truths' Exhibition at the Victoria and Albert Museum, London (2007).

This historic double bill brings the warmth and optimism of South African jazz to the London Jazz Festival. The jazz giant that is Hugh Masekela has been at the heart of the music of his country since the 1960s, exile or no exile, and his soaring, joyful trumpet sound continues as an expression of resistance and a celebration of resilience.

This performance with his band will be Masekela's first in London since 2007. Having sung together since 1964 female vocal trio the Mahotella Queens have exerted enormous influence on the musical life of South Africa, and their Zulu, gospel and electrified rhythms maintain their power and vitality.

The Institute of People Management (IPM) Convention for this year is scheduled for 14 – 17 November 2010 in Sun City, North West Province, South Africa.

The theme of the 2010 IPM Convention is "Beyond 2010...People Leadership in the Next Decade". The theme was informed by the current economic recovery and new reality that emerged from the unparalleled economic conditions. Organisations, which are able to manage the transition to the new reality, will be more competitive and productive. This new global business reality provides the impetus to redefine the rules of the game in terms of organisation, management, engagement, and responsibility towards the environment. In particular, South Africa has important people management lessons to learn from the 2010 World Cup event. The case studies aim to showcase how best-in-class organisations have dealt with these strategic topics. The case studies are also one hour sessions and will provide delegates with specific examples of the application of the above strategic topics.
