Aaron Teboho Mokoena was born in November 1980 in Boipatong, South Africa. He is Captain of his home team Bafana Bafana at the 2010 FIFA World Cup and also captains Portsmouth FC in England.
Aaron has played in the past for Boipatong Real Rangers (amateur team), Jomo Cosmos, Bayer Leverkusen (Germany), Ajax Amsterdam (Holland), Germinal Beerschot (Belgium), KRC Genk (Belgium) and Blackburn Rovers (England).
His international debut for South Africa was in 1999 for the Cosafa Cup where South Africa beat Botswana.
Aaron is the most capped South African player with 98 full international caps. He was the first South African to reach 100 caps just before the opening game of the World Cup 2010 and was the youngest ever South African international at 18 years old.
