4th May - The Black Image, National Portrait Gallery, London

A revealing presentation and film which shows how the image of African people has been deliberately altered by Europeans to show negativity. An analysis of popular and world famous British art, museums, and modern media by Moira Stuart, David Dabydeen and Richard Hart.

 

10 May – Unlocking Business Opportunities in Nigeria, London

‘Doing a Business in Nigeria in One day’ is a one day fully packed conference with Nigerian business leaders from both the private and public sector through the Federal Government’s initiative in getting Nigerians in Diaspora involved in National Issues. 22 May - Africa - China Business and Investment Networking Event, The Foreign Press Association, Pall Mall

Image28 May - eLearning Africa - 3rd International Conference on ICT for Development, Education and Training, Accra, Ghana

Meeting the networking needs of the pan-African eLearning and distance education sector, the annual eLearning Africa conference is the key networking venue for practitioners and professionals from Africa and all over the world.

eLA is the largest gathering of eLearning and distance education professionals in Africa, enabling participants to develop multinational and cross-industry contacts and partnerships, as well as to enhance their knowledge, expertise and abilities. The 2007 event attracted 1406 participants from 88 countries representing all continents, with 72% coming from Africa, making it Africa’s largest eLearning conference.

28 May - Phelophepa Health Train Fundraising Gala Dinner & Fashion Show, London

A Gala dinner, fashion show and charity auction will be held at the Jumeirah Carlton Tower Hotel in Knightsbridge, London. The event is in aid of South Africa’s wonderful Phelophepa Health Train, the world's first Health Care Train, which brings hope and better health to rural South Africa.
