Dear Editor
It is a pleasure to read your brief above. In fact, I agree with your choice of title 'Africa's Century' in light of the global economic data and the trends indicating a positive economic progress and development for Africa, which fits well with your stance. I sincerely hope that all these predictions of our beloved Continent of Africa come to fruition. It's high time and we should all pull together to make it a lasting reality for the betterment of all.

Dear Editor
Once again you are spot on - I was and still am horrified that my grandchildren are on Facebook - it is unnecessary, unsociable and dangerous. Facebook has not, and never will be used by me.
People of all ages and intellect seem not to think through the dangers of using these 'successful' means of communication. These means are, to me, lazy and unnecessary, curbing real face to face communications - and stunting proper human relationships.
They also leave the 'facebooker' open to abuse and ridicule. From what I have seen and hear, people of all abilities seem to leave their brain locked away in a cupboard when using artificial means of communication (by that I mean no human contact, not even pen to paper!) and mindlessly give away those things that are best not known about them and their families' and friends' lives.
I now await the comeback from our readers for using an artificial means of communication - ah well, you can't win them all!
