Job Description: The Work and Study Away Service oversees the management of international and UK-based study and work placement experiences for students and staff, working in partnership with key internal and external stakeholders. The ultimate aim is to deliver an enhanced student experience by streamlining our processes and facilitating student access to study and work opportunities, both globally and in the UK. We have an exciting opportunity for an adaptive and experienced individual to join our new Service to lead and direct the growing and diverse portfolio of transformative international experiences for our students. This includes the management of the International Programmes Team whose remit encompasses the International Exchange Programmes, Erasmus+ ICM Programmes, The Principal’s Go Abroad Fund and other short-term initiatives, ensuring effective delivery and the provision of high-quality service for all stakeholders.
Requirements: The post holder will be required to lead on developing international exchange partnerships this will include delivering an overall wrap-around student mobility experience from awareness raising, pre-departure, on exchange support, and return and reintegration. The post holder will also lead on a range of new initiatives aimed to enable the University to achieve its strategic targets in the areas of staff and student mobility with responsibility for managing a team of specialist Advisors and Administrators, to ensure the delivery of a high quality service to students, staff, and external stakeholders. Providing professional guidance and expertise, the post holder will support the leadership of strategic activities related to the management and expansion of the University’s portfolio of work and study away activity.
