Business Psychologist

I was educated ....

…in Ghana, London, Edinburgh, Surrey and the ‘University of Life.’

My first job was....

…working at a Jewish bakery when visiting England as a 16-year old.

What I do now is....

…work as a business psychologist with leaders and teams around the world to help them to play to their strengths and tap fully into their potential.

Nana-Efua Otoo is the founder of Castlegate International and an accomplished Occupational Psychologist with over 12 years of experience as an internal and external consultant specialising in leadership coaching and development, team facilitation, 360° feedback, diversity and inclusion and talent and executive assessments. Nana has worked with high profile organisations including eBay, Standard Chartered Bank, BP, Asda, Nestlé, Diageo, Hasbro, Ernst & Young, Morgan Stanley, Aviva, UT Bank, Qatar Telecom and Imperial College Business School.

As Castlegate International’s principal psychologist, Nana provides a diverse range of services to positively impact business performance, career development and personal growth. She has worked across Europe, Asia, Africa, the United States and the Middle East.

What I learned along the way is…

…treat everyone you meet as unique (unless they give you a very good reason not to!)

The greatest influence on my life has been……

…. my formidable and undefeatable mother.

The best advice I ever received is…

…“be yourself, everyone else is taken”.

My top tips for succeeding in my career area are…

….doing everything with integrity and passion, focusing on quality no matter what I get paid. Genuinely and authentically connecting with people has always provided great rewards, often unexpected.
