Contact us on: editor@reconnectafrica.com Dear Editor An interesting article, which I don't feel able to really comment on directly. I will say that the press in Spain leading up to the World Cup focussed very much on negatives - security, the fact that the team were even bringing water to brush their teeth with (sometimes it really is the small details that give things away). There seemed to be a real ignorance of the reality or at least it was only partially covered. A few days ago however, there was an article praising the organisation and the reaction of the police to crime. Good to see a new tone and a new view of Africa - which presumably was the intention of hosting such a big event on the continent. Dáire McGill, Spain Dear Editor I understand very clearly your experiences about Africans not supporting their own organisations and enterprises. In fact it seems that if you want a black business or enterprise to really do well, you must have white people or any other non-black or African people to be the face of your organisation, business or enterprise. However, also rather than us focusing on the negative experiences, why don't we advertise the positive experiences we have had with each other and recommend others to those people so that their fame and reputation can grow and thus creating a more prosperous business for them?. Name not supplied Dear Editor Excellent Article on Africa - I was laughing out loud at some of the things you said; but they were spot on. Julia D, London Dear Editor That was brilliant. If we had taken our chances well, we would have been among the best four footballing nations in the world. At least, we demolished the mighty USA. God bless America but let Africa win always. Amen.
