Dear Editor In the February issue of ReConnect Africa, I wrote a piece about how one's own circumstances can sometimes seem constricting and inhibiting, but that talking through the issues can often produce clarity, renewed confidence and a way forward. I illustrated this with a real-life tale about a client of mine. A few days after the magazine was published, my mobile rang. It was someone who had read my article; something had resonated and they had made a real effort to find my number …… and had called me. They poured their heart out, relieved at being able to let go. They talked of how they were out of work, at 40, and that their life seemed such a failure. Sometimes it may seem so from one's own perspective; change the perspective and success is everywhere. If they read this letter, I hope they will realise what a great step forward they took, what courage they showed in picking up the telephone, however emotional it may have felt. I made some suggestions about what they might do ….. and offered to talk later that week. That offer it still open – 07802 416529. It's good to talk. PS I found this little poem on the wall of a café in Tasmania. I think it's lovely. LETTING GO
